Saudi princess allegedly made French repairman kiss her feet

The sister of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman went on trial in France on Tuesday for allegedly ordering her bodyguard to beat up a worker in her family’s Paris apartment and forcing him to kiss her feet.

Emmanuel Moyne, lawyer of Saudi Princess Hassa bint Salman arrives at courthouse in Paris, France.

Princess Hassa bint Salman, who is being tried in absentia, was accused of directing the September 2016 rough-up of the workman after he was spotted snapping a photo inside the home, according to Agence France-Presse.

Repairman Ashraf Eid said he’d been called to fix a sink in the swanky pad and needed the pictures to carry out the work.

But the princess freaked out, believing he was going to sell the images and had him tied up and beaten, Eid claims.

During the several-hour ordeal, he told Le Point news that the princess shouted: “kill him, the dog, he doesn’t deserve to live.”

While tied up, he claimed he was ordered to kiss the feet of the princess, who is believed to be in her 40s. He also had his tools stolen.

The bodyguard who allegedly carried out the beatdown, Rani Sadi, was charged with armed violence, theft, issuing death threats and holding someone against their will — and was the only one involved present in court.

“When I heard the princess cry for help, I came and saw them gripping the phone,” he said, referring to the princess and the workman.

“I grabbed him and overpowered him: I did not know his intentions,” Sadi said. “In 12 years of work, we had stories like that. Arabs want photos and the princess is someone very important for them.”

The princess, who is known in Saudi Arabia for her charity work and women’s rights campaigning, has been charged with complicity in armed violence, complicity in holding someone against their will and theft.

She left France after the alleged incident and there is a warrant out for her arrest from French authorities. She has denied the allegations through her lawyer.
